What You Will Need:

Coarse salt (acts as a gentle scrubber)

Isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher works best)

Ziploc bags (for smaller parts like bowls and downstems)

Rubber bands or plugs (to seal openings)
Step-by-Step Cleaning Instructions:
Step 1: Empty and Rinse Pour out the old dirty water from your bong. Rinse the piece with warm tap water to loosen any loose debris.
Step 2: Add Salt and Alcohol Pour a generous amount of coarse salt into the bong, followed by a good amount of isopropyl alcohol. The salt won’t dissolve in alcohol, which is why it works perfectly as an abrasive scrubber.
Step 3: Seal and Shake Use your hands (or rubber plugs) to seal all the openings of the bong. Shake it vigorously for 3 to 5 minutes. You will see the alcohol turn dark brown as it dissolves the resin.
Step 4: Soak Small Parts Place your glass bowl and downstem inside a Ziploc bag with some salt and alcohol, seal it, and shake gently. Let them soak for 15-30 minutes.
Step 5: Final Rinse Pour out the cleaning mixture and rinse your bong and accessories thoroughly with warm water until all alcohol smell and residue are gone. Let them dry completely before your next session.
